Is online therapy as effective as in person therapy?
The simple answer to this question is yes! Studies have shown that online therapy is just as effective as traditional therapy, especially for those who may be experiencing anxiety.

A study by Richards in 2008 showed that online counselling helped mental, physical, emotional, and even spiritual matters, and that many individuals reported satisfaction from the benefits of increased access and flexibility.
What are the benefits of online therapy?
Online therapy can be beneficial in many ways. Many people report satisfaction from being able to do a session from the comfort of their own home. Not only this, but it means less time travelling, increasing the flexibility within your schedule.
Online therapy is also incredibly supportive for teenagers or for those who may be experiencing anxiety. The ability to connect from home can decrease stigma and encouraged a more relaxed and comfortable experience.
Do you work with teenagers?
Yes! I work with all teenagers 15 years and over. If you are booking in on behalf of a teenager, it’s part of my process to meet with you and them before having an actual session. This is a FREE meeting and is a chance to get to know you both, explain the process and go over any questions you or they may have.

Please make sure to specify in your booking if you are making the appointment on behalf of someone else.
Do you do sessions in person?
The short answer is no. However, I have been known to do in person sessions for residents that live in Perth, Australia. As I do not have a private space, the environment of these sessions is usually more open, creating a more relaxed and down to earth experience. The location can be discussed and agreed upon for each meeting.

How can I prepare for an online session?
Making sure you have some place private and quiet where you will not be disturbed is really important. Using a computer or laptop is highly recommended for online meetings, however you can use your phone if you wish.

Other than that, feel free to wear what you like and do the session from wherever you feel most comfortable.
How much do sessions cost?
Introductory holistic counselling sessions are $180 and run for 75 minutes. Subsequent sessions range from $160-$200 for 60 minutes depending on your specific circumstances and needs.

Meditation therapy sessions cost $120 and run for 45 minutes.
How do I pay?
Payment is incredibly easy. For first time sessions, payment is required up front either by credit card (Stripe) or direct bank transfer. For clients who live outside of Australia, payment is by credit card only. Once you have booked, I will contact you and provide you with the options for payment.
Most clients in Australia choose to pay by direct debit for their sessions.
Can I get a Medicare rebate?
Unfortunately at this time, Medicare and private health does not give rebates for Counselling of any kind. It is something that the Counselling body are working hard to change and it is hoped to be achieved in future.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! If you need to arrange a payment plan, this is something that can be arranged after your first session.
